ABOUT US
Eric launched Macias Consulting in 2019 after establishing himself in the Australian market over 11 years between Brisbane and Perth. Having been trained by and earned top performer awards in ASX, NYSE, NSDQ, and private recruitment companies over the past 15 years it was time to give it go. We've seen boom, bust, boom, COVID, and keep on kicking goals. We'll be here for the long term.
Eric is as passionate about recruitment as he is about people. His desire to help others has been the hallmark of his career. He'll walk a mile in your shoes before providing advice and understands there is no such thing as a 'perfect candidate' (nor a perfect company, job, or even perfect recruiter). You can expect a straight forward discussion, real world advice, and professional constructive feedback. Eric practices the new golden rule - treat others how THEY want to be treated. Prior to his recruitment career he gained valuable experience in retail banking, investment banking advisory, golf course management, and even fast food. Moving on quickly between industries and functions, it would seem the only thing Eric was good at earlier in his career was getting new jobs! Having found his calling as a recruitment consultant in 2006 - he hasn't worked a day in his life since, as Confucius would say.
When not recruiting, Eric is a father of 3 mostly-wonderful children, one very fast short-haired terrier, and is supported by an incredible wife who is also our operations manager. Eric is a California native and has called Perth home since 2013, but is known to most of Perth's business/recruitment community as the 'Guac Guy' as he makes a batch of handmade guacamole (secret family recipe) commemorating each placement. He also makes a mean mango-margarita aka a "mangorita". Eric dreams of the day he'll once again be a scratch golfer. As a sports fan he supports the GC Suns, Oakland A's, and Las Vegas Raiders.
