Eric launched Macias Consulting in 2019 after establishing himself in the Australian market over the last 10 years between Brisbane and Perth. Having been trained by and earned top performer awards in ASX, NYSE, NSDQ, and private recruitment companies over the past 13 years it was time to open his own firm.
Eric is as passionate about recruitment as he is about people. His desire to help others has been the hallmark of his career. He'll walk a mile in your shoes before providing advice and understands there is no such thing as a 'perfect candidate' (nor a perfect company, job, or even recruiter). You can expect a straight forward discussion, real advice, and professional feedback. Eric practices the new golden rule - treat others how THEY want to be treated.
Prior to his recruitment career he gained valuable experience in: retail banking, investment banking advisory, hospitality management, and even fast food. From humble beginnings as a "burrito ambassador" for Chipotle Mexican Grill, he's leveraged his experience to be a well respected recruitment director. It would seem the only thing he was good at earlier in his career was getting new jobs, now he gets others jobs for a living, perfect!
When not recruiting 24/7, Eric is a father of 3 mostly-wonderful children, one very fast tenterfield terrier, and is supported by an incredible wife. Eric is a California native, but is known to most of Perth's business community as the "Guac Guy" as he makes a batch of handmade guacamole (secret family recipe) commemorating each placement. If avocado isn't your thing, he also makes a mean mangorita. Eric dreams of the day he'll once again be a scratch golfer and is an overly keen AFL - Gold Coast Suns supporter.
